A Note From Overflow

As I reflected on 2017, everything in me was overflowing with gratitude. I’m so grateful for all that God brought us through. The good, the hard, the ugly and everything in between. 2017 was a year of big changes for me, my family and ministry. I was ready to tackle 2018 with wide eyes and a spring in my step. But, honestly, the beginning of the year has hit us hard. Battles. 2018 has started with battles of sickness, challenges, a little stress and a lot of spiritual warfare. But I know, with everything in me, that God is doing something great. So often we see opposition as a horrible thing, but when we are truly seeking the Lord’s leading, I believe opposition means that we are on the right track…and the enemy doesn’t like it. He wants to stop it. So as we launch into 2018, I want to encourage you. Friends, press on and press in. As worship leaders, you are in a high calling. And sometimes? It’s hard. Don’t give up. Press on and persevere. God is doing something great, something new, and often we can’t see it. Trust Him and remember that He never fails, His faithfulness is constant.

We started putting together playlists of our favorite worship songs over on Spotify. These are songs that I love, music that I have brought to my own congregation, and lyrics that I sing at the top of my lungs when it’s just me and my piano. This month’s playlist is called The Art of Perseverance. I hope you can get lost in worship and be encouraged to pursue all that God has for you this year.  Follow as we create more soundtracks to your ministry.

As always, if we can ever do anything for you, pray for you, or support you in some way, don’t hesitate to reach out. We love the church and strive to support you.

Standing with you,

Overflow Founder, Worship Leader, and Artist
