For all of my friends in ministry…this is for you.
Do you feel like you’re walking alone? You have the Lord, always, but do you have someone to walk alongside of you in ministry on earth…to encourage you…challenge you…and pray for you? Someone who has been there, and really knows what you are walking through.
Do you need a little soul care? I know I do.
I have been the worship leader at our home church for almost 10 years, and it has been wonderful and challenging all at the same time. Sometimes I just wish that someone else knew what I was walking through, and could come alongside and encourage me and sometimes, challenge me to press on.
God has given me a passion for people in ministry, and more specifically worship ministry. So, I’m stepping out in faith, and sharing my heart with you. It’s a little scary, and I’m not even sure why, but I know What God has asked me to do. And I won’t walk away from that. I want to be faithful to Him, no matter what.
Even though I’m scared, I’m excited. There’s an expectancy in my heart for what God is going to do, and I’m excited for what He is doing in His church and through His people. But, we have to walk together, friends. Build each other up. Share our experiences and resources so that we can “divide and conquer” and accomplish all the ministry that God has for us. There is not one person who can do it all. We have to walk together.
So, in the days and weeks that follow, I will be posting some devotionals and worship resources for you. To encourage you and uplift your heart. To help you along your worship ministry journey, and maybe challenge you to press on, even when it’s hard.
I hope that what God has taught me will be an encouragement to you.
